Lore Raymond
Creator of Women as Visionaries

“Women need more she-roes, or heroines. Venues that introduce local women visionaries to other women can fulfill that need,” says Lore Raymond, teacher, life coach, writer and creative force behind the Women as Visionaries conference.

Lore’s vision is opening hearts and inspiring action. To do that, she sponsors vision mapping events, VisionQuest travel opportunities, speaks to groups and facilitates visioning workshops for some of America’s major companies.

“These avenues inspire people to take a next step, to make a declaration that changes their lives in a positive way. It’s not about me. I use these opportunities to help people to connect to the special, sacred and creative. I don’t really know what’s going to happen at each Women as Visionaries workshop, and that’s exciting.

Sometimes called the “VisionMapping queen,” Lore began facilitating VisionMaps 15 years ago before “The Secret” made what she does practically a household word. “For me, the word map is three dimensional. It implies interaction and a relationship,” she says. Lore encourages attendees to work with their maps, and post them where they can be seen every day. She writes and mediates every day about items on her own map. One of her meditation sessions led her to create Women as Visionaries.

“I thought about my heroines,” she says. “I was taken aback by the amazing number of women I’ve met this year and those who are long-time friends of mine who are visionaries. I came up with 12 names. I wanted to share these extraordinary women with Tampa Bay and what they’re doing to make a difference in our world.”

Lore’s biggest challenge in 2010 is an abundance of wonderful opportunities and not enough hands to do it all. She puts her faith into serving others. “When I do that, things unfold easily. Then I know I’m on the right path,” she explains.

She has personal proof. When you meet Lore, ask her about her trips to Peru or Bali.

“I try to build a sacred envelope where people create their own magic and get what they need. They remember their dreams and how amazing they are. I want women to walk away with pearls of information they already know to be true because of the words or ways I’ve shared this information. If I can do that, I feel blessed.”
