Constance d’Angelis, Author of The 7 Laws of Inner Peace, Reiki Master & Attorney/mediator

KNOW YOURSELF, COOPERATE, BE KIND. These words adorn Constance’s office wall. Although overcoming obstacles was the mantra of the early part of life. Now, she offers her myriad of experiences to enhance individual and community consciousness.

Living through Tragedy:
Constance’s first child, Tracey, was born with a birth defect. Paralyzed from the waist down, spinal fluid accumulated in her skull. Tracey endured spinal surgeries and a shunt to reduce water-on-the-brain. She died at age 3. Constance turned this heartbreak into motivation and commitment. She enrolled at the University of Toledo in Life Sciences; became a member of the national pre-medical honor society, Alpha Epsilon Delta; and graduated with a Bachelor of Science, cum laude.

Exhilaration, Camaraderie; and the Joy of Victory:
34: Constance’s jersey number as starting Linebacker for the Toledo Troopers. In a game with the New York Women’s Professional Football team, Constance intercepted a pass and ran thirty-seven yards for a touchdown. Teammates lifted the five foot two inch tall, 120 pound competitor to their shoulders and the crowd cheered. The Troopers won the game.

First Woman-Corporate Fortune 500 Company:
The 1970’s affirmative action program opened major corporations to hiring women. Constance was the first woman hired by Owens-Corning Fiberglas in a non-staff position. In 1976 she was transferred from Toledo, Ohio to Tampa, Florida.

Personal Growth through Practicing Law:
Fulfilling a childhood desire, Constance graduated from Stetson University, College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. The powerful human drama she experienced as a lawyer in the highly publicized, controversial case regarding cessation of life support started her on a seven year odyssey. The result: The 7 Laws of Inner Peace. (Distributed by DeVorss & Company – 800-843-5743) The workbook is scheduled.

Sharing Expertise through Writing:
27 years of practicing law has given Constance substantial understanding of consumer credit, which gave rise to her new book, The 7 Laws of Credit for Young Adults, A Guide to Self Awareness through Knowledge of Consumer Credit. Currently, she’s completing the workbook/text for use in schools and colleges.

Other works include: The 7 Laws of Peaceful Solutions; Transforming Conflict; 7 Actions for Inner Peace; Win/Win in 7 Steps; Alignment in F-Crystal Bowl Music; Energize! Meditation video on You Tube.

Peaceful Resolution:
Cooperation, Collaboration and Self Determination…What a thought! What a life to be lived! A collaborative life is possible. How? Constance chose these actions: 1) Certified*Mediator; 2) Arbitrator for FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority); 3) Personal and legal coach/consultant; 4) Friend.

The Power of Touch:
Massage is good for mental health. A licensed massage therapist in Florida and Colorado, Constance provides therapy for her friends and colleagues. Treatments include: paraffin dip; ionic foot bath; aromatherapy; sound and energy healing; and Reiki.

Adventure:
A member of Davis Island Yacht Club, Constance recently sailed the Mediterranean for three weeks. Her venture onboard the 30 foot sailing vessel, Antea, included Italy, Ionian Sea, and Greek Islands…Zakynthos and Kefalonia. Former travels, teaching “Estate Planning” onboard Holland American Ships were interesting but not nearly as adventurous.

Dr. Carla Goddard, Sacred Soul Shaman

The journey of a life time began when as a small child she realized she was different. Somehow she didn’t fit in. Words like half breed were unexplainable. Baptized as a young child into the Pentecostal religion, moving to Baptist Church, onto Catholicism and finding her way to a coven of the Old Religion, the journey took many forms. In 1996, Dr. Carla Goddard describes it as hitting rock bottom. Addiction, uterine cancer, lupus and a heart attack sent her world spiraling out of control. In the following years the journey would take on new meaning as she battled for her life, and then battled to rise up from the wheel chair that held her captive.

During this time the spiritual journey took her to study Buddhism, Wicca, and Druidism; in search for something that would offer solace to a weary heart. Never giving up her search, in 2000 she began to study Shamanism as a way of life. Growing stronger both physically and spiritually each day she found a way – an inner strength that was coming from some place outside of her own strength. She would spend hours sitting by a fire knowing that one day she would rise up and stand on her own two feet as an empowered woman.

She enrolled back in college finishing her Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling and her Doctorate in Metaphysical Parapsychology; as well as becoming an ordained Metaphysical Minister with the International Metaphysical Ministries. During this time she also found The Waiest™ Path which strengthened her mind; as well as her spirit becoming an Ordained Monk in the Way Order™ that she is one of the founding members of. In 2006, when her father was diagnosed with AML and given weeks to live, her faith and strength were tested again. Her father became her inspiration to share with the world her story, her life, and her journey. She recalls time spent with him during those last days as he taught her the story of the rainbow and the Summerlands.

Today as a Sacred Soul Shaman she draws upon the energetic flow of life to find answers and healing. She shares with people how to heal their own soul, how to find the flow of energy in their own lives, and how to have a profound shift in awareness. “If you want to change the world you need to start with yourself, and then change one person at a time,” she says. “Throw one pebble in the water and it’s like a ripple effect.”

Having completed a ten year apprenticeship as a Shaman, Dr. Carla Goddard has gone on to be the visionary of a Light worker Community that she describes as a group of ordinary people coming together in a unified and cohesive nature to create a mission of harmony, love, and support for one another. She has authored several books and written for both print and online journals.

She is the founder of the Sacred Feminine Empowerment Groups “Divine-alicious” and is visionary of the Metaphysical Mind Series now in multiple locations across the state of Florida. She travels to states on the East Coast sharing her empowering message that you have the power deep inside to rise up and make a splash to create your desired reality.

Anita Stewart, New Member, Hillsborough County Soil & Water Conservation Board

Anita Stewart is a licensed medical professional, herb gardener, artist, freelance writer, blogger and photographer, independent publicist, political professional and New Media and Virtual Outreach expert. Anita was born in Detroit and grew up in a rock and roll radio station in Pennsylvania that her father owned, so news, media and music has always been an important part of her life. She is a vocalist that used to sing backup in a rock and roll band but now sings while driving or in the shower. Anita is a USAF veteran and worked as an Intelligence Operations Specialist in the US and in Europe. While attending the University of Maryland, where she studied English, Film and Journalism, she worked for Arbitron Radio Ratings in Laurel and Beltsville, MD and the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC and was a member of the AFL-CIO Local 25 Hotel and Restaurant Worker’s Union. That’s where her activism began as she worked with the Union, Rainbow Push Coalition and other local Washington DC organizations to assure that women and people of color were hired as servers in the 5 star restaurants. Anita was one of the first organizers of Chapter 119, the Tampa Bay Veterans for Peace and of Code Pink Tampa Bay and the Tampa Bay Indymedia Collective. From December of 2006 until June of 2007 Anita volunteered on the Virtual Outreach team for the Kucinich for President 2008 Campaign. She became an official member of the campaign staff in July of 2007. She volunteered as a virtual outreach coordinator for the Cynthia McKinney Presidential Campaign in 2008 and was on the official Media Team. Anita was one of the first organizers for Hands Across the Sand, a global initiative to increase awareness on switching from offshore oil drilling to the use of Energy Alternatives! Anita is a strong believer in working to change the course of our country by reforming our media and electoral processes and by using the Internet to organize Progressives, Independents and other Third Party voters on the issues. She actively supports non-corporate “owned” Progressives, Independents and other Third Party candidates for local, state and federal offices. Anita believes that the most important thing about our electoral process is that all voices need to be heard if voting is fair, just and democratic! Anita was recently elected to the Hillsborough County (Tampa Metro) Soil and Water Conservation Board. Anita will represent those that think they do not have a voice when it comes to local land and water use. She will continue to organize and inform others about environmental issues and events. She supports MOVETOAMEND.org, a movement to add the 28th Amendment to the Constitution to abolish Corporate Personhood. Soon she will be attending a Permaculture Urban Design class for her certification. When Anita has any spare time she is singing, listening to music, spending time in the woods, hiking, swimming, writing, painting, taking photos, playing on the Internet or taking care of Hospice patients.
